For four decades, David A. Cox has devoted his life to serving the people of South Carolina
through ministry, humanitarian outreach, civic leadership, and community development.
Through charitable programs, housing assistance, workforce development, and public service,
he has strengthened communities and changed lives across the Palmetto State.
Beginning in 1984, David spent more than 34 years in pastoral ministry, providing spiritual
guidance, counseling, mentorship, and practical assistance to individuals and families
throughout the Upstate. His commitment to serving others led to the creation of programs and
partnerships designed to support vulnerable populations and strengthen local communities.
Among his most notable accomplishments was helping establish WINGS (Women in Need of
General Services), a United Way-sponsored 501(c)(3) that provided food, clothing, shelter, and
support services to abandoned and abused women and children. Through his business ventures
and community initiatives, David has also assisted low-income families with housing needs,
coordinated charitable home repair projects, mentored aspiring entrepreneurs, and created
employment opportunities for individuals facing barriers to workforce participation.
His service has also included leading educational tours to Israel for nearly three decades,
serving as a Planning Commissioner for Pickens County, participating in civic and community
initiatives, and remaining active in the Rotary Club of Pickens. He has further advocated for
transportation and infrastructure improvements benefiting communities throughout the
Upstate.
Today, David continues to serve South Carolina through civic education and public engagement
with the New America Movement Podcast while also providing housing assistance, free
personal crisis counseling, business consulting, employment opportunities for individuals with
significant barriers to work, and assistance with transportation and vehicle-related needs.
Through these ongoing efforts, he continues to reflect the servant leadership that has defined
his life's work for more than forty years.
Throughout his life, David Cox has demonstrated a quiet but unwavering commitment to
serving the people of South Carolina. Through decades of ministry, charitable outreach, civic
involvement, and community leadership, he has worked to strengthen the lives of others and
the communities they call home. His enduring impact is found not in any single
accomplishment, but in a lifetime devoted to service throughout the Palmetto State.
